Hausa Adverbs

This is a list of adverbs in Hausa. This includes adverbs of time, place, manner and frequency. Which sums up most of what you need for daily use.

Now: yanzu
Later: nan gaba
Tonight: da daren nan
Last night: a daren jiya
This morning: wannan safiya
Yesterday: jiya
Today: yau
Tomorrow: gobe
Next week: mako mai zuwa
Already: tuni
Recently: baya-bayan nan
Lately: latti
Soon: ba da jimawa ba
Immediately: nan da nan
Still: har yanzu
Yet: amma

After the above adverbs of time, now we move on to adverbs of place.

Here: nan
There: can
Everywhere: a ko ina
Anywhere: a ko ina

Now adverbs of manners, used to describe how something happens. They are usually placed after the main verb.

Carefully: a hankali
Alone: kaɗai
Very: sosai
Really: ne sosai
Quickly: cikin sauri
Slowly: sannu-sannu
Almost: kusan
Together: gaba ɗaya

These are adverbs of frequency, which are used to answer the question "how often?".

Always: ko da yaushe
Sometimes: wani lokaci
Rarely: kaɗan
Never: har abada
