I saw you: Ek het jou gesien
I wrote with a pen: Ek het met 'n pen geskryf
You loved apples: Jy het van appels gehou
You gave money: Jy het geld gegee
You played tennis: Jy het tennis gespeel
He read (past) a book: Hy het 'n boek gelees
He understood me: Hy het my verstaan
She had a cat: Sy het 'n kat gehad
She knew my friend: Sy het my vriend geken
We wanted to learn: Ons wou leer
We thought Spanish is easy: Ons het gedink Spaans is maklik
You (plural) worked here: Julle het hier gewerk
You (plural) spoke French: Julle het Frans gepraat
They drove a car: Hulle het ’n motor bestuur
They smiled: Hulle het 'n motor bestuur
