Behind: aiz
In front of: priekšā
Near: tuvu
Between: starp

The following are conjunctions used to connect words, sentences, or phrases.

And: un
Or: vai
But: bet

I'm from Japan: Es esmu no Japānas
The pen is under the desk: Pildspalva ir zem galda
The letter is inside the book: Vēstule ir grāmatā
Can I practice Italian with you?: Vai varu patrenēties runāt itāliski ar tevi?
I was born in Miami: Es esmu dzimis Maiami
I speak French but with an accent: Es runāju franciski, bet ar akcentu
