These samples show how the verbs above are conjugated in the past tense in a sentence which includes all the object pronouns (I, you, she...).
I saw you: Es redzēju tevi |
I wrote with a pen: Es rakstīju ar pildspalvu |
You loved apples: Tev garšoja āboli |
You gave money: Tu iedevi naudu |
You played tennis: Tu spēlēji tenisu |
He read (past) a book: Viņš lasīja grāmatu |
He understood me: Viņš mani saprata |
She had a cat: Viņai bija kaķis |
She knew my friend: Viņa pazina manu draugu (draudzeni) |
We wanted to learn: Mēs gribējām mācīties |
We thought Spanish is easy: Mēs domājām, ka spāņu valoda ir viegla |
You (plural) worked here: Jūs te strādājāt |
You (plural) spoke French: Jūs runājāt franciski |
They drove a car: Viņi brauca ar auto |
They smiled: Viņi smaidīja |
