This is a lesson about negation in Hindi. This includes words or expressions used to form a negative form as opposted to the affirmative. For example "I don't understand".

Nothing: कुछ नहीं kucha nahī̃ |
Not yet: अभी तक नहीं abhī taka nahī̃ |
No one: किसी के नहीं kisī kē nahī̃ |
| No longer: अब और नहीं aba aura nahī̃ |
Never: कभी नहीं kabhī nahī̃ |
Cannot: नहीं कर सकते nahī̃ kara sakatē |
Should not: नहीं चाहिए nahī̃ cāhiē | ***--
The below examples demonstrate how to use the negation form in a sentence. Don't be shy to use of these expressions if you don't know something.
| We don't understand: हमें समझ में नहीं आता hamē̃ samajha mē̃ nahī̃ ātā |
I do not speak Japanese: मैं जापानी नहीं बोलता maĩ jāpānī bāta nahī̃ karatē |
| I cannot remember the word: मैं शब्द याद नहीं कर सकता maĩ yaha śabda yāda nahī̃ kara sakatē |
You should not forget this word: आपको इस शब्द को नहीं भूलना चाहिए āpa isa śabda kō nahī̃ bhūlanā cāhiē |
| No problem!: कोई बात नहीं! kōī bāta nahī̃! |
I don't know!: मुझे नहीं पता! mujhē nahī̃ patā! |
| I'm not interested!: मुझे कोई दिलचस्पी नहीं है! mujhē kōī dilacaspī nahī̃ hai! |
Don't worry!: चिंता मत करो! cintā mata karō! |
| This is wrong: यह गलत है yaha galata hai |
This is not correct: यह सही नहीं है yaha sahī nahī̃ hai |
| No one here speaks Greek: यहाँ कोई यूनानी नहीं बोलता yahā̃ kōī yūnānī nahī̃ bōlatī |
