This is a list of prepositions in Finnish. This includes words related to positions (i.e. under, on top of ...), conjunctions (and, but ...) and many more.

On top of: päällä
Under: alla
Inside: sisällä
Outside: ulkona
Behind: takana
In front of: edessä
Near: lähellä
Between: välissä

These are more popular prepositions you might find useful at some point or another.

After: jälkeen
Before: ennen
With: kanssa
Without: ilman
Since: (jostakin) lähtien / asti
Until: asti
Of: -sta; stä
From: alkaen
To: -aan, -een, -iin, -oon, -uun, -yyn, -ään, -öön
Instead of: sijasta
In: - ssa; -ssä
Against: vastaan
As: kuin
About: noin
For: varten

The following are conjunctions used to connect words, sentences, or phrases.

And: ja
Or: tai
But: mutta
So: joten

The pen is under the desk: Kynä on työpöydän alla
The letter is inside the book: Kirje on kirjan sisällä

I was born in Miami: Synnyin Miamissa
I speak French but with an accent: Puhun ranskaa, mutta korostaen
