Student: opiskelija

Actress: näyttelijätär
Nurse: sairaanhoitaja
Translator: kääntäjä

These examples will help you answer the question "What do you do?" or "What do you do for a living?". Note how the personal pronouns are used with the nouns in this sentence.

I'm looking for a job: etsin töitä
I'm an artist: olen taiteilija
He is a policeman: hän on poliisi
She is a singer: hän on laulaja
I'm a new employee: olen uusi työntekijä
