This is a list of prepositions in Swahili. This includes words related to positions (i.e. under, on top of ...), conjunctions (and, but ...) and many more.

On top of: juu ya
Under: chini ya
Inside: ndani ya
Outside: nje ya
Behind: nyuma ya
In front of: mbele ya
Near: karibu na
Between: kati kati ya

These are more popular prepositions you might find useful at some point or another.

After: baada ya
Before: kabla ya
With: na
Without: bila
Since: tangu
Until: mpaka
Of: ya
From: kutoka
To: kwa, ili
Instead of: badala ya
In: ndani ya
Against: dhidi ya
As: kama
About: juu ya
For: kwa

The following are conjunctions used to connect words, sentences, or phrases.

And: Na
Or: Ama
But: Lakini
So: Ili

I'm from Japan: Natoka Japan
The pen is under the desk: Kalamu iko chini ya meza
The letter is inside the book: barua iko ndani ya kitabu
Can I practice Italian with you?: Naweza kufanya mazoezi ya Kiitalia nawe?
I was born in Miami: Nilizaliwa Miami
I speak French but with an accent: Ninazungumza Kifaransa ila na lafudhi
