These samples show how the verbs above are conjugated in the past tense in a sentence which includes all the object pronouns (I, you, she...).
| I saw you: Yo te vi. |
| I wrote with a pen: Yo escribí con bolígrafo. |
| You loved apples: Te gustaron las manzanas. |
| You gave money: Tú diste dinero. |
| You played tennis: Tú jugaste al tenis. |
| He read (past) a book: Él leyó un libro. |
| He understood me: Él me entendió. |
| She had a cat: Ella tenía un gato. |
| She knew my friend: Ella conoció a mi amigo. |
| We wanted to learn: Nosotros quisimos aprender. |
| We thought Spanish is easy: Nosotros pensábamos que el español / castellano era fácil. |

| They drove a car: Ellos condujeron un coche. |
