This is a list of pronouns in Khmer. This includes subject, object, and the possessive. These are used on a daily basis, so don't skip this lesson. We start with the object pronouns such as "I, you, her ..."
I: ខ្ញុំ khnhom |
You: អ្នក anak |
He: គាត់ keat |
She: នាង neang |
We: ពួកយើង puok yeung |
You (pl.): អ្នក(ពហុវចនៈ) anak( phovochn) |
They: ពួកគេ puokke |
Here are samples to demonstrate how the object pronoun is used in a sentence.
I love you: ខ្ញុំស្រលាញ់អ្នក khnhom sralanh anak |
She is beautiful: នាងស្អាត neang saat |
We are happy: ពួកយើងសប្បាយចិត្ត puok yeung sabbaychett |
They are dancing: ពួកគេកំពុងរាំ puokke kampoung roam |
Now we look into the subject pronoun such as "me, him, us, them ...".
Me: ខ្ញុំ khnhom |
You: លោក lok |
Him: គាត់ keat |
Her: គាត់ keat |
Us: ពួកយើង puok yeung |
You (pl.): អ្្នក(ពហុវចនៈ) a n k( phovochn) |

Give me your phone number: ឲ្យលោកទូរស័ព្ទមកខ្ញុំ aoy lok toursapt mk khnhom |
I can give you my email: ខ្ញុំអាចឲ្យអាសយដ្ឋានរបស់ខ្ញុំទៅអ្នក khnhom ach aoy asayodthan robsakhnhom tow anak |
Tell him to call me: ប្រាប់គាត់ឲ្យទូរស័ព្ទមកខ្ញុំ brab keat aoy toursapt mk khnhom |
Can you call us?: តើអ្នកអាចទូរស័ព្ទមកកាន់ពួកយើងបានទេ? tae anak ach toursapt mokkan puok yeung ban te? |
We reach now the possessive adjective part, used to refer to thing we possess. Examples: "my, our, their ...".
My: របស់ខ្ញុំ robsakhnhom |
Your: របស់អ្នក robsa anak |
His: របស់គាត់ robsa keat |
Her: របស់នាង robsa neang |
Our: របស់យើង robsa yeung |
Your (pl.): របស់អ្នក(ពហុវចនៈ) robsa anak( phovochn) |

This is the possessive pronoun. Used as an alternative to the possessive adjectives above. Instead of saying "It is my dog" you can say "It is mine".
Mine: របស់ខ្ញុំ robsakhnhom |
Yours: របស់អ្នក robsa anak |
His: របស់គាត់ robsa keat |
Hers: របស់នាង robsa neang |
Ours: របស់យើង robsa yeung |
Yours (pl.): របស់អ្នក(ពហុវចនៈ) robsa anak( phovochn) |
Theirs: របស់ពួកគេ robsa puokke |
