This is a list of mistakes in Khmer. Helpful when trying to learn a new word. Also useful when there is a misunderstanding or confusion.

My French is bad: ភាសាបារាំងរបស់ខ្ញុំអន់ណាស់
pheasaea barang robsakhnhom an nasa
I need to practice my French: ខ្ញុំត្រូវការហ្វឹកហាត់ភាសាបារាំងរបស់ខ្ញុំ
khnhom trauvkar hvoekheat pheasaea barang robsakhnhom
Don't worry!: កុំបារម្ភអី!
kom baromph ei!
Excuse me? : សុំទោស?(មានន័យថាលោកនិយាយថាម៉េច?)

No problem!: មិនអីទេ!

Can you repeat?: តើអ្នកអាចនិយាយម្ដងទៀតបានទេ?
tae anak ach niyeay mdongtiet ban te?
Can you speak slowly?: តើអ្នកអាចនិយាយយឺតៗបានទេ?
tae anak ach niyeay yut ban te?
Write it down please!: សូមកត់ចូលសៀវភៅ!

I don't understand!: ខ្ញុំមិនយល់ទេ!
khnhom min yl te!
Did you understand what I said?: តើអ្នកយល់នូវអ្វីដែលខ្ញុំបាននិយាយទេ?
tae anak yl nouv avei del khnhom ban niyeay te?
What is this?: តើនេះជាអ្វី?
tae nih chea avei?
I don't know!: ខ្ញុំអត់ដឹងទេ!

What's that called in French?: តើវាត្រូវបានគេហៅយ៉ាងម៉េចជាភាសាបារាំង?
tae vea trauv ban ke haw yeangmech chea pheasaea barang?
What does that word mean in English?: តើពាក្យនេះមានន័យថាយ៉ាងម៉េចជាភាសាអង់គ្លេស?
tae peaky nih meannytha yeangmech chea pheasaeaangklesa?
How do you say "OK" in French?: តើអ្នកនិយាយពាក្យ "OK" យ៉ាងម៉េចជាភាសាបារាំង?
tae anak niyeay peaky "OK" yeangmech chea pheasaea barang?
Is that right?: តើវាត្រឹមត្រូវទេ?
tae vea troemotrauv te?
Is that wrong?: តើវាខុសឬ?
tae vea khosa ryy?
What should I say?: តើខ្ញុំគួរនិយាយយ៉ាងម៉េច?
tae khnhom kuor niyeay yeangmech?
What?: ថាម៉េច?

These are some words from the above sentences that you might also need to use by themselves.

Mistake: កំហុស
To speak: និយាយ
Slowly: យ៉ាងយឺត
yeang yut
Quickly: យ៉ាងលឿន
yeang luen
