Belarusian Directions

These are expressions used when giving or getting directions in Belarusian. Very useful when trying to find your way around or when lost.

Excuse me! (to ask someone): Выбычайце!
Vybyčajcie!
Can you show me?: Вы можаце паказаць мне?
Vy možacie pakazać mnie?
I'm lost: Я згубіўся (Я згубілася)
Ja zhubіŭsia (Ja zhubіlasia)
I'm not from here: Я не тутэйшы (Я не тутэйшая)
Ja nie tutejšy (Ja nie tutejšaja)
Can I help you?: Ці магу Вам дапамагчы?
Cі mahu Vam dapamahčy?
Can you help me?: Ці можаце мне дапамагчы?
Cі možacie mnie dapamahčy?
It's near here: Гэта блізка
Heta blіzka
It's far from here: Гэта далека адсюль
Heta dalieka adsiuĺ
Go straight: Ідзіце прама
Idzіcie prama
Turn left: Павярніце налева
Paviarnіcie nalieva
Turn right: Павярніце направа
Paviarnіcie naprava
One moment please!: Хвіліначку!
CHvіlіnačku!
Come with me!: Хадземце са мной!
CHadziemcie sa mnoj!
How can I get to the museum? : Як я магу трапіць да музея?
Jak ja mahu trapіć da muzieja?
How long does it take to get there?: Колькі часу спатрэбіцца, каб туды трапіць?
Koĺkі času spatrebіcca, kab tudy trapіć?
Downtown (city center): цэнтр горада
centr horada

Near: Блізка
Blіzka
Far: Далёка
Dalioka
Right: направа
naprava
Left: налева
nalieva
Straight: прама
prama
There: там
tam
Here: тут
tut
To walk: ісці
іscі
To drive: ехаць
jechać
To turn: павярнуць / звярнуць
paviarnuć / zviarnuć
Traffic light: светлафор
svietlafor
