Belarusian Negation

This is a lesson about negation in Belarusian. This includes words or expressions used to form a negative form as opposted to the affirmative. For example "I don't understand".

No: не
nie
Nothing: нічога / нішто
nіčoha / nіšto
Not yet: пакуль не
pakuĺ nie
No one: Ніхто
Nіchto
No longer: Няма больш / больш не
Niama boĺš / boĺš nie
Never: ніколі
nіkolі
Cannot: Не магу
Nie mahu
Should not: не павінны
nie pavіnny

The below examples demonstrate how to use the negation form in a sentence. Don't be shy to use of these expressions if you don't know something.

We don't understand: Мы не разумеем
My nie razumiejem
I do not speak Japanese: Я не размаўляю па-японску
Ja nie razmaŭliaju pa-japonsku
I cannot remember the word: Я не магу ўспомніць / узгадаць слова
Ja nie mahu ŭspomnіć / uzhadać slova
You should not forget this word: Вы не павінны забываць гэтае слова
Vy nie pavіnny zabyvać hetaje slova
No problem!: Няма праблем!
Niama prabliem!
I don't know!: Я не ведаю!
Ja nie viedaju!
I'm not interested!: Я не зацікаўлены!
Ja nie zacіkaŭlieny!
Don't worry!: Не хвалюйцеся!
Nie chvaliujciesia!
This is wrong: Гэта няправільна
Heta niapravіĺna
This is not correct: Гэта няправільна / няслушна
Heta niapravіĺna / niaslušna
No one here speaks Greek: Ніхто тут не размаўляе на грэцкай мове
Nіchto tut nie razmaŭliaje na hreckaj movie
I'm not fluent in Italian yet: Я пакуль яшчэ не размаўляю свабодна па-італьянску
Ja pakuĺ jašče nie razmaŭliaju svabodna pa-іtaĺjansku
