These are expressions used when giving or getting directions in Pashtu. Very useful when trying to find your way around or when lost.
| Excuse me! (to ask someone): اجازه راکه |
Can you show me?: کولای شی چه راته وښوی؟ |
| I'm lost: زه لادرکه / ورک یم |
I'm not from here: زه ددي ځای اوسیدونکی نه یم |
| Can I help you?: زما مرستی ته ضرورت لری؟ |
Can you help me?: ما سره مرسته کولای شی؟ |
| It's near here: دلته نږیدی |
It's far from here: ددي ځای نه لیری دی |
| Go straight: مستقیم لاړ شه |
Turn left: چپ طرف ته تاو شه |
| Turn right: ښیۍ طرف ته تاو شه |
One moment please!: هیله کوم یوه شیبه |
| Come with me!: راځه زماسره |
How can I get to the museum? : موزیم به څنګه پیدا کړم؟ |
| How long does it take to get there?: ځومره وخت کی به هلته ورسیږم؟ |
Downtown (city center): دښارمرکز |
The following are words which might be used alone or in combination with other words to ask or give directions.

Far: لری |
Right: ښۍ |
Left: چپ |
| Straight: مخامخ |
There: هلته |
Here: دلته |
To walk: په پښوباندي |
| To drive: په موټر باندي |
To turn: ګرځیدل |
Traffic light: ترافکی ایشاره |
