Hungarian Negation

This is a lesson about negation in Hungarian. This includes words or expressions used to form a negative form as opposted to the affirmative. For example "I don't understand".

No: nem
Nothing: semmi
Not yet: még nem
No one: senki
No longer: többé nem
Never: soha
Cannot: nem tud
Should not: nem kellene / nem lenne szabad

The below examples demonstrate how to use the negation form in a sentence. Don't be shy to use of these expressions if you don't know something.

We don't understand: nem értjük
I do not speak Japanese: nem beszélek japánul
I cannot remember the word: nem emlékszem a szóra
You should not forget this word: ne felejtsd el ezt a szót
No problem!: nem gond
I don't know!: nem tudom
I'm not interested!: nem érdekel
Don't worry!: ne aggódj!
This is wrong: Ez helytelen
This is not correct: Ez nem helyes
No one here speaks Greek: Itt senki sem beszél görögül
I'm not fluent in Italian yet: Még nem beszélek folyékonyan olaszul
