This is a list of pronouns in Ukrainian. This includes subject, object, and the possessive. These are used on a daily basis, so don't skip this lesson. We start with the object pronouns such as "I, you, her ..."
I: я ya |

Here are samples to demonstrate how the object pronoun is used in a sentence.
I love you: Я кохаю тебе YA kokhayu tebe |
She is beautiful: Вона гарна Vona harna |
We are happy: Ми щасливі / раді My shchaslyvi / radi |
They are dancing: Вони танцюють Vony tantsyuyutʹ |
Now we look into the subject pronoun such as "me, him, us, them ...".
Me: мене, мені mene, meni |
You: тебе, тобі; Вас, Вам tebe, tobi; Vas, Vam |
Him: його, йому yoho, yomu |
Her: її, їй yiyi, yiy |
Us: нас, нам nas, nam |
You (pl.): вас, вам vas, vam |
Them: їх, їм yikh, yim |
These are examples to demonstrate how the subject pronoun is used in a sentence.
Give me your phone number: Дай мені твій / свій номер телефону Day meni tviy / sviy nomer telefonu |
I can give you my email: Я можу дати тобі мою / свою електронну адресу YA mozhu daty tobi moyu / svoyu elektronnu adresu |
Tell him to call me: Скажи йому, щоб подзвонив мені Skazhy yomu, shchob podzvonyv meni |
Can you call us?: Можеш зателефонувати нам? Mozhesh zatelefonuvaty nam? |
We reach now the possessive adjective part, used to refer to thing we possess. Examples: "my, our, their ...".
My: мій miy |
Your: Ваш, твій Vash, tviy |
His: його yoho |
Her: її yiyi |
Our: наш nash |
Your (pl.): ваш vash |
Their: їхній yikhniy |
Here are samples to demonstrate how the possessive adjective is used.
My phone number is . . .: мій номер телефону... miy nomer telefonu... |
His email is . . .: Його електронна адреса... Yoho elektronna adresa... |
Our dream is to visit Spain: Наша мрія - відвідати Іспанію Nasha mriya - vidvidaty Ispaniyu |
Their country is beautiful: Їхня країна гарна Yikhnya krayina harna |
This is the possessive pronoun. Used as an alternative to the possessive adjectives above. Instead of saying "It is my dog" you can say "It is mine".
Mine: моє moye |
Yours: твоє tvoye |
His: його yoho |
Hers: її yiyi |
Ours: наше nashe |
Yours (pl.): ваше vashe |
Theirs: їхнє yikhnye |
These are some examples of the possessive pronoun in a sentence.
The book is mine: книжка моя knyzhka moya |
Is this pen yours?: ця ручка - твоя? tsya ruchka - tvoya? |
The shoes are hers: Ці туфлі - її Tsi tufli - yiyi |
Victory is ours: Перемога - наша Peremoha - nasha |
