These are expressions used when giving or getting directions in Tajik. Very useful when trying to find your way around or when lost.
Excuse me! (to ask someone): Бубахшед! Bubahšed! |
Can you show me?: Оё метавонед ба ман нишон дихед? Oë metavoned ba man nišon dihed? |
I'm lost: ман рахгум задам man rahgum zadam |
I'm not from here: Ман аз инчо нестам Man az inčo nestam |
Can I help you?: Оё метавонам ба шумо кумаке кунам? Oë metavonam ba šumo kumake kunam? |
Can you help me?: Оё метавонед ба ман кумак расонед? Oë metavoned ba man kumak rasoned? |
It's near here: Аз ин чо дур нест Az in čo dur nest |
It's far from here: Аз инчо дур аст Az inčo dur ast |
Go straight: Рост равед Rost raved |
Turn left: ба тарафи чап гардед ba tarafi čap garded |
Turn right: ба тарафи рост гардед ba tarafi rost garded |
One moment please!: Як дакика! Âk dakika! |
Come with me!: Бо ман биёед! Bo man biëed! |
How can I get to the museum? : Ман чи тавр метавонам ба осорхона биравам? Man či tavr metavonam ba osorhona biravam? |
How long does it take to get there?: То ба ончо расидан чи кадар вакт лозим аст? To ba ončo rasidan či kadar vakt lozim ast? |
Downtown (city center): канораи шахр kanorai šahr |
The following are words which might be used alone or in combination with other words to ask or give directions.
Near: наздик nazdik |
Far: дур dur |
Right: рост rost |
Left: чап čap |
Straight: рост rost |
There: он ҷо on ҷo |
Here: ин ҷо in ҷo |
To walk: пиёда рафтан piëda raftan |
To drive: рондан rondan |
To turn: гаштан, тоб додан gaštan, tob dodan |
Traffic light: чарогак čarogak |
