These samples show how the verbs above are conjugated in the past tense in a sentence which includes all the object pronouns (I, you, she...).
I saw you: nakita kita |
I wrote with a pen: gumamit siya ng pen sa pagsusulat |
You loved apples: nagustuhan mo ang mga mansanas |
You gave money: nagbigay ka ng pera |
You played tennis: naglaro ka ng tenis; nagtenis ka |
He read (past) a book: nagbasa siya ng libro |
He understood me: naintindihan niya ako |
She had a cat: nagkaroon siya ng pusa-- |
She knew my friend: nakilala niya ang kaibigan ko noon |
We wanted to learn: gusto niyang matuto noon |
We thought Spanish is easy: akala ko madali ang kastila |
You (plural) worked here: nagtrabaho ka dito |
You (plural) spoke French: nagsalita ka ng Pranses |
They drove a car: nagmaneho siya ng kotse |
They smiled: ngumiti siya |
