This is a list of pronouns in Nepali. This includes subject, object, and the possessive. These are used on a daily basis, so don't skip this lesson. We start with the object pronouns such as "I, you, her ..."

Here are samples to demonstrate how the object pronoun is used in a sentence.
I love you: म ितमीलाई माया गर्छु। ma ̔itamīlā'ī māyā garchu. |
She is beautiful: ऊनी रामी छिन्। Ūnī rāmī chin. |
We are happy: हामी खुसी छौ। Hāmī khusī chau. |
They are dancing: ितनीहरू नाचिरहेको छ। ̔Itanīharū nācirahēkō cha. |
Now we look into the subject pronoun such as "me, him, us, them ...".
Me: म Ma |
You: तिमी timī |
Him: उ u |
Her: उनको unakō |
Us: हामी hāmī |
You (pl.): ितमीहरू ̔itamīharū |
Them: तिनीहरू tinīharū |
These are examples to demonstrate how the subject pronoun is used in a sentence.
Give me your phone number: ितमो टेलिफोन नम्बर देऊ। ̔itamō ṭēliphōna nambara dē'ū. |
I can give you my email: म मेरो ईमेल ितमीलाई दिन्छु। Ma mērō īmēla ̔itamīlā'ī dinchu. |
Tell him to call me: उसलाई मलाई फोन गर्न भनिढेऊ। Usalā'ī malā'ī phōna garna bhaniḍhē'ū. |
Can you call us?: के ितमीले हामीलाई टेिलफोन गर्न सक्छौ? Kē ̔itamīlē hāmīlā'ī ṭēilaphōna garna sakchau? |
We reach now the possessive adjective part, used to refer to thing we possess. Examples: "my, our, their ...".
My: मेरो Mērō |
Your: तिम्रो timrō |
His: उस्को uskō |
Her: तिनको tinakō |
Our: हाम्रो hāmrō |
Your (pl.): ितमो ̔itamō |
Their: तिनीहरूको tinīharūkō |
Here are samples to demonstrate how the possessive adjective is used.
My phone number is . . .: मेरो टेिलफोन नम्बर - mērō ṭēilaphōna nambara - |
His email is . . .: उसको ईमेल usakō īmēla |
Our dream is to visit Spain: हाम्रो सपना स्पेन घुम्न जाने हो। hāmrō sapanā spēna ghumna jānē hō. |
Their country is beautiful: उनीहरूको ढेश राम्रो छ। Unīharūkō ḍhēśa rāmrō cha. |
This is the possessive pronoun. Used as an alternative to the possessive adjectives above. Instead of saying "It is my dog" you can say "It is mine".
Mine: मेरो Mērō |
Yours: तिम्रो timrō |
His: उस्को uskō |
Hers: उनको unakō |
Ours: हाम्रो hāmrō |
Yours (pl.): ितमीहरूको ̔itamīharūkō |
Theirs: तिनीहरूको tinīharūkō |
These are some examples of the possessive pronoun in a sentence.
The book is mine: यो मेरो िकताब हो। yō mērō ̔ikatāba hō. |
Is this pen yours?: के यो ितमो कलम हो? Kē yō ̔itamō kalama hō? |
The shoes are hers: जुत्ता यँहा छ। Juttā yam̐hā cha. |
Victory is ours: जित हामो हो। Jita hāmō hō. |
