Blue: निलो nilō |
Brown: खैरो khairō |
Gray: फूस्रो phūsrō |
| Green: हरियो hariyō |
Orange: सुन्तले suntalē |
Red: रातो rātō |
White: सेतो sētō |
| Yellow: पहेँलो pahēm̐lō |
Dark color: गाढा रङ्ग gāḍhā raṅga |
Light color: हल्का रङ्ग halkā raṅga |
Colors: रङ्गहरू raṅgaharū |
These examples show how colors are used in Nepali. This is a good way to demonstrate how adjectives (colors) are used with nouns and verbs.

Your cat is white: तपार्इंको बिरालो सेतो छ tapār'iṅkō birālō sētō cha |
| Black is his favorite color: उसको मन पर्ने रङ्ग कालो हो usakō mana parnē raṅga kālō hō |
Red is not his favorite color: उसको मन नपर्ने रङ्ग रातो हो usakō mana naparnē raṅga rātō hō |
| She drives a yellow car: उनले पहेंलो कार चलाउछिन् unalē pahēnlō kāra calā'uchin |
I have black hair: मेरो कालो कपाल छ mērō kālō kapāla cha |
