Never: מעולם לא / לעולם לא Me-olam lo / le-olam |
Cannot: לא יכול / ה Lo yakhol / lo yekhola |
Should not: לא צריך / כה Lo tzarikh / lo tzrikha |
The below examples demonstrate how to use the negation form in a sentence. Don't be shy to use of these expressions if you don't know something.
| We don't understand: אנו לא מבינים Anu lo mevinim |
I do not speak Japanese: אני לא מדבר / ת יפאנית Ani lo medaber / et yepanit |
| I cannot remember the word: אני לא זוכר / ת את המילה Ani lo zokher / et et ha-mila |
You should not forget this word: לא לשכוח את המילה Lo lishkoakh et ha-mila |
| No problem!: אין בעיה Ein be'aia |
I don't know!: אני לא יודע Ani lo yode'a / yoda'at |
| I'm not interested!: זה לא מענין אותי Ze lo me'anien oti |
Don't worry!: לא לדאוג Lo lidog |
| This is wrong: זאת טעות Zot ta'ut |
This is not correct: זה לא נכון Ze lo nakhon |
| No one here speaks Greek: אף אחד לא מדבר פה יוונית Af ekhad lo medaber po yevanit |
I'm not fluent in Italian yet: אני עדיין לא מדבר / ת איטלקית שוטפת Ani adain lo medaber / et italkit shotefet |
