Gaelic Adverbs

This is a list of adverbs in Gaelic. This includes adverbs of time, place, manner and frequency. Which sums up most of what you need for daily use.

Later: an dèidh seo
Tonight: a-nochd
Last night: a-raoir
This morning: madainn an-diugh
Yesterday: an-dè
Today: an-diugh
Tomorrow: a-màireach
Next week: an ath-sheachdainn
Already: mu thràth
Recently: o chionn ghoirid
Lately: as ùr
Soon: a dh'aithghearr
Immediately: air ball
Still: fhathast
Yet: fhathast

Everywhere: ann an gach àite
Anywhere: àiteigin

Now adverbs of manners, used to describe how something happens. They are usually placed after the main verb.

Carefully: gu cùramach
Alone: na aonar
Very: glè
Really: fìor-
Quickly: gu luath
Slowly: gu slaodach
Almost: theab
Together: còmhla (ri)

These are adverbs of frequency, which are used to answer the question "how often?".

Always: an-còmhnaidh
Sometimes: uaireannan
Rarely: ainmig
Never: riamh
