Flemish Adverbs

This is a list of adverbs in Flemish. This includes adverbs of time, place, manner and frequency. Which sums up most of what you need for daily use.

Now: nu
Later: later
Tonight: vanavond / deze avond
Last night: gisteren avond
This morning: vanmorgen / deze morgen
Yesterday: gisteren
Today: vandaag
Tomorrow: morgen
Next week: volgende week
Already: al
Recently: recent
Lately: de laatste tijd
Soon: straks / binnenkort [former is a much shorter period of time]
Immediately: onmiddellijk
Still: nog
Yet: al / nog niet [former for questions, latter for negatives]

After the above adverbs of time, now we move on to adverbs of place.

Here: hier
There: daar
Everywhere: overal
Anywhere: ergens

Now adverbs of manners, used to describe how something happens. They are usually placed after the main verb.

Carefully: voorzichtig
Alone: alleen
Very: heel
Really: echt
Quickly: snel
Slowly: langzaam / traag
Almost: bijna
Together: samen

These are adverbs of frequency, which are used to answer the question "how often?".

Always: altijd
Sometimes: soms
Rarely: zelden
Never: nooit
