These samples show how the verbs above are conjugated in the past tense in a sentence which includes all the object pronouns (I, you, she...).

You played tennis: Je speelde tennis |
He read (past) a book: Hij las (verleden tijd) een boek |
He understood me: Hij begreep me |

You (plural) worked here: Jullie (meervoud) werkten hier |
