Basque Negation

This is a lesson about negation in Basque. This includes words or expressions used to form a negative form as opposted to the affirmative. For example "I don't understand".

No: Ez.
Nothing: Ezer ez.
Not yet: Oraindik ez.
No one: Bat ere ez.
No longer: Gehiago ez.
Never: inoiz ez
Cannot: Ezin da.
Should not: Ezingo litzake.

The below examples demonstrate how to use the negation form in a sentence. Don't be shy to use of these expressions if you don't know something.

We don't understand: Ez dugu ulertzen.
I do not speak Japanese: Ez dut japonieraz hitz egiten.
I cannot remember the word: Ezin dut hitza gogoratu.
You should not forget this word: Ez zenuke hitz hau ahaztu beharko.
No problem!: Arazorik gabe!
I don't know!: Ez dakit!
I'm not interested!: Ez nago interesatuta!
Don't worry!: Lasai egon! Lasai!
This is wrong: Hau gaizki dago.
This is not correct: Hau zuzen dago.
No one here speaks Greek: Iñork ere ez ez gu grekeraz hitz egiten.
I'm not fluent in Italian yet: Ez dut italieraz ondo hitz egiten.
