Welsh Present

This is a list of verbs in the present tense in Welsh. First let's start with the raw format before conjugating the verbs to the present form. Make sure to compare this table and the one below it.

To love: caru
To give: rhoi
To play: chwarae
To read: darllen
To understand: deall
To have: cael
To know: adnabod / gwybod
To learn: dysgu
To think: meddwl
To work: gweithio
To speak: siarad
To drive: gyrru
To smile: gwenu
To find: darganfod / ffeindio

These samples show how the verbs above are conjugated in the present tense in a sentence which includes all the object pronouns (I, you, she...).

I see you: Rwy'n dy weld di
I write with a pen: Rwy'n defnyddio ysgrifbin i ysgrifennu
You love apples: Rwyt ti'n dwli ar afalau
You give money: Rwyt ti'n rhoi arian
You play tennis: Rwyt ti'n chwarae tennis
He reads a book: Mae e'n darllen llyfr
He understands me: Mae hi'n fy neall i
She has a cat: Mae ganddi chath
She knows my friend: Mae hi'n adnabod fy ffrind
We want to learn: Rydym ni eisiau dysgu
We think Spanish is easy: Rydym ni'n meddwl bod Sbaeneg yn rhwydd
You (plural) work here: Rydych chi'n gweithio yma
You (plural) speak French: Rydych chi'n siarad Ffrangeg
They drive a car: Gyrron nhw car
They smile: Mae nhw'n gwenu
