Macedonian Pronouns

This is a list of pronouns in Macedonian. This includes subject, object, and the possessive. These are used on a daily basis, so don't skip this lesson. We start with the object pronouns such as "I, you, her ..."

You (pl.): вие (множина)

Here are samples to demonstrate how the object pronoun is used in a sentence.

I love you: Те сакам
Te sakam
She is beautiful: Таа е убава
Taa e ubava
We are happy: Ние сме среќни
Nie sme sreḱni
They are dancing: Тие танцуваат
Tie tancuvaat

Now we look into the subject pronoun such as "me, him, us, them ...".

Me: мене / мене ме; мене ми
mene / mene me; mene mi
You: тебе / тебе те; тебе ти; вас / вас ве; вам ви
tebe / tebe te; tebe ti; vas / vas ve; vam vi
Him: него / него го; нему / нему му
nego / nego go; nemu / nemu mu
Her: неа / неа ја; нејзе ѝ
nea / nea Ja; neJze ì
Us: нас / нас нè; нам / нам ни
nas / nas nè; nam / nam ni
You (pl.): вие
vie
Them: нив / нив ги; ним / ним им

These are examples to demonstrate how the subject pronoun is used in a sentence.

Give me your phone number: Дај ми го твојот телефонски број
DaJ mi go tvoJot telefonski broJ
I can give you my email: Можам да ти го дадам мојот и-мејл
Možam da ti go dadam moJot i-meJl
Tell him to call me: Каѓи му да ми се јави
Kaǵi mu da mi se Javi
Can you call us?: Може ли да ни се јавиш?
Može li da ni se Javiš?

We reach now the possessive adjective part, used to refer to thing we possess. Examples: "my, our, their ...".

My: мој
moJ
Your: твој / ваш
tvoJ / vaš
His: негов
negov
Her: нејзин
neJzin
Our: наш
naš
Your (pl.): ваш
vaš
Their: нивен
niven

Here are samples to demonstrate how the possessive adjective is used.

Our dream is to visit Spain: Нашиот сон е да ја посетиме Шпанија

This is the possessive pronoun. Used as an alternative to the possessive adjectives above. Instead of saying "It is my dog" you can say "It is mine".

Mine: мој

Yours: твој / ваш

His: негов
negov
Hers: нејзин
neJzin
Ours: наш
naš
Yours (pl.): ваш
vaš
Theirs: нивен
niven

These are some examples of the possessive pronoun in a sentence.

The book is mine: Книгата е моја

Is this pen yours?: Дали пенкалово е твое?
Dali penkalovo e tvoe?
The shoes are hers: Чевлите се нејзини
Čevlite se neJzini
Victory is ours: Победата е наша
Pobedata e naša
