Lithuanian Directions

These are expressions used when giving or getting directions in Lithuanian. Very useful when trying to find your way around or when lost.

Excuse me! (to ask someone): Atsiprašau! (paklausti kieno nors)
Can you show me?: Ar galite man parodyti?
I'm lost: Aš pasiklydau
I'm not from here: Aš ne vietinis
Can I help you?: Ar galiu padėti?
Can you help me?: Ar galite man padėti?
It's near here: Tai netoli
It's far from here: Tai toli nuo čia
Go straight: Eikite tiesiai
Turn left: Pasukite kairėn
Turn right: Pasukite dešinėn
One moment please!: Palaukite sekundę!
Come with me!: Eikite su manimi!
How can I get to the museum? : Kaip galėčiau nuvykti į muziejų?
How long does it take to get there?: Kiek laiko trunka ten nueiti?
Downtown (city center): miesto centras

The following are words which might be used alone or in combination with other words to ask or give directions.

Near: netoli
Far: toli
Right: dešinė
Left: kairė
Straight: tiesiai
There: ten
Here: čia
To walk: eiti
To drive: važiuoti
To turn: pasukti
Traffic light: šviesoforas
