Basque Present

This is a list of verbs in the present tense in Basque. First let's start with the raw format before conjugating the verbs to the present form. Make sure to compare this table and the one below it.

To see: Ikusi.
To write: Idatzi.
To love: Maitatu.
To give: Eman.
To play: Jolastu.
To read: Irakurri.
To understand: Ulertu.
To have: Eduki.
To know: Jakin.
To learn: Ikasi.
To think: Pentsatu.
To work: Lan egin.
To speak: Hitz egin.
To drive: Gidatu.
To smile: Irribarre egin.
To find: Topatu / aurkitu.

These samples show how the verbs above are conjugated in the present tense in a sentence which includes all the object pronouns (I, you, she...).

I see you: Ikusten zaitut.
I write with a pen: Boligrafoarekin idazten dut.
You love apples: Sagarrak gogoko dituzu.
You give money: Dirua ematen duzu.
You play tennis: Tenisean jolasten duzu.
He reads a book: Berak libruak irakurtzen ditu.
He understands me: Berak ulertzen nau.
She has a cat: Berak katu bat dauka.
She knows my friend: Berak nire laguna ezagutzen dau.
We want to learn: Guk ikastea nahi dugu.
We think Spanish is easy: Espainola erraza dela uste dugu guk.
You (plural) work here: Zuek hemen egiten duzue lan.
You (plural) speak French: Zuek frantsesez hitz egiten duzue.
They drive a car: Beraiek autoa gidatzen dute.
They smile: Beraiek barre egiten dute.
