Azeri Negation

This is a lesson about negation in Azeri. This includes words or expressions used to form a negative form as opposted to the affirmative. For example "I don't understand".

No: Xeyr, yox
Nothing: Heç nə
Not yet: Hələ yox
No one: Heç kim / heç kəs
No longer: Artıq deyil
Never: heç zaman / heç vaxt
Cannot: -bilmə (rəm / zsən / z / rik / siniz / zlər)
Should not: -mamalı(yam / san / dır / yıq / sınız / dırlar) / -məməli(yəm / sən / dir / yik / siniz / dirlər)

The below examples demonstrate how to use the negation form in a sentence. Don't be shy to use of these expressions if you don't know something.

We don't understand: Başa düşmürük
I do not speak Japanese: Mən yaponca bilmirəm
I cannot remember the word: Sözü xatırlaya bilmirəm
You should not forget this word: Sən bu sözü unutmamalısan
No problem!: Problem deyil!
I don't know!: Bilmirəm!
I'm not interested!: Maraqlanmıram!
Don't worry!: Narahat olma(yın)!
This is wrong: Bu səhvdir
This is not correct: Bu düzgün deyil
No one here speaks Greek: Burada heç kim / heç kəs yunanca bilmir
