Armenian Negation

This is a lesson about negation in Armenian. This includes words or expressions used to form a negative form as opposted to the affirmative. For example "I don't understand".

The below examples demonstrate how to use the negation form in a sentence. Don't be shy to use of these expressions if you don't know something.

We don't understand: Մենք չենք հասկանում:
Menq chenq haskanum.
I do not speak Japanese: Ես ճապոներեն չեմ խոսում:
Yes tchaponeren chem khosum
I cannot remember the word: Ես չեմ կարողանում այդ բառը հիշել:
Yes chem karoghanum ayd bary' hishel
You should not forget this word: Դու չպետք է այս բառը մոռանաս:
Du chpetq e ays bary' moranas
No problem!: Ոչ մի խնդիր:
Voch mi khndir
I don't know!: Չգիտեմ:
Chgitem.
I'm not interested!: Դա ինձ չի հետաքրքրում:
Da indz chi hetaqrqrum.
Don't worry!: Մի անհանգստացիր / Մի անհանգստացեք:
Mi anhangstatsir / Mi anhangstatseq.
This is wrong: Սա սխալ է:
Sa skhal e.
This is not correct: Սա ճիշտ չէ:
Sa tchisht che.
No one here speaks Greek: Այստեղ ոչ ոք հունարեն չի խոսում:
Aystegh voch voq hunaren chi khosoom.
I'm not fluent in Italian yet: Ես դեռ սահուն չգիտեմ իտալերեն:
Yes der sahoon chgitem italeren.
